Tokai Jazz Sound Bass Serial Numbers

Feb 8, 2017 - Seventies Les Paul lookalikes featured names like Burny, Tokai, and Greco. Most Japanese copies of the time didn't have serial numbers — a. Tokai Guitar Registry. Deluxe copy but can not find any serial number or identifying marks. For the year of manufacture of my Tokai fretless Jazz style bass.

Tokai Rare JB120 Jazz Sound 1980 Japan in two tone sunburst and in medium natural relic. In very good working condition. I acquire this lovely axe with the bridge pickup upgraded to Artec Jazz pickups, but the original pickup is with me so I will include it in the package. The owner before me removed the pick guard before to make it a Jaco look vibe, after loosing the original pick guard he told me that he replaced it with a 3 ply tortoise pick guard that came from Fernandes Jazz bass that's why there's a black sticker on top end of the pick guard, see pictures for details. Serial number lookup for equipment. Aside from that everything is all stock, and sounds not far or better than some Fender Jazz.

I've got an '84 Hardpuncher. It's one of the best precisions I've ever played. A lot of basses have come, and gone through the years. This one has stayed. It has a lovely neck, 70's style narrower (B width) than the standard width neck, though not as narrow as a Jazz bass, and a deeper profile though not a bassball bat.

The standard pickups are not much cop IME. I've put a vintage Dimarzio in mine, plus CTS pots, PIO tone cap & switchcraft jack. I've slso swapped the original b/w/b pickguard for a nice tort one.
