A few months ago, I needed to upgrade to WIN98SE for USB support (wanted to set up a wireless LAN). I had a friend who had the old 98 to 98SE upgrade CD. The upgrade created nothing but problems for me. 1) I can no longer connect to the internet. 2) Everytime I boot up I get a DDEML.DLL error message. 3) PC is slower than it has ever been.

4) I have burned up way too much time attempting to fix a PC, that was running just fine before. Hello Im so glad I joined this c/net help.com group. I look forward to get info on my computer and I hope I can help others as well If I can.

So to the question on upgrade of windows 98se. I also would like to know if there is an upgrade, but I dont think there is, because of January 16th of 2004 microsoft does not support it any more, just as they did when 95 went obsolete. They are into all the new ones like ME, XP, MILLENIUM, ETC. So I dont think there is an upgrade but if anyone finds one please let me know to, as I have windows 98se. Hope this helps a bit, have a great day rhonda.allen@sympatico.ca canadainjeepgirl.
